Everton tried and failed to sign Cardiff striker.

Everton should look back and feel relieved Cardiff prevented them from buying Kenneth Zohore in August 2017.
Even with their own striker troubles, Zohore would not be the answer.
BBC Sport reported that Everton had an enquiry for Zohore turned down.
Ronald Koeman was manager of Everton at the time.
Zohore was scoring for fun for Cardiff in the Championship at the start of last season, prompting Everton’s interest.
He has found the transition to Premier League football far tougher.
Zohore has played six games for Cardiff, and is yet to score.

He was called out publicly by manager Neil Warnock last week, who urged him to knuckle down.
Warnock told SkySports: “I’ve had a word with him and you know he’s got to get his finger out now, because he’s got all the attributes.
“When I look at all these other strikers – the ones we’re looking at – Ken’s got it all in his locker really, it’s such a shame.”
Zohore’s Premier League struggles suggest he would also have been unable to live up to Everton’s hopes for him.
Warnock snubbed Everton’s approach, and saved the Toffees from making an error.
