Cardiff City manger Neil Warnock suggested on The Alan Brazil Sports Breakfast show on talkSPORT on Monday morning (8:39am, December 10, 2018) that he wants to sign a striker on loan in the January transfer window.

Warnock said on The Alan Brazil Sports Breakfast show on talkSPORT on Monday morning (8:39am, December 10, 2018): “I know we have got to try and loan players if we can, but I am hopeful that we can at least try and get a striker in.”

Oumar Niasse speculation

Warnock’s aforementioned comments do give credence to speculation that Cardiff are considering signing Oumar Niasse on loan from Everton in the January transfer window.

According to a recent report in The Mirror, the Bluebirds are considering a loan move for the 28-year-old striker – who earns £55,000 per week as salary, according to Spotrac.com – in January.

Good signing for Cardiff City?

Niasse is struggling for playing time at Everton at the moment and has played only 48 minutes of Premier League football for the Toffees so far this season, according to WhoScored.

Given the 28-year-old’s experience in the Premier League, he would not be a bad signing for Cardiff in the January transfer window.

The Bluebird are in danger of getting relegated to the Championship at the end of the season.
