Neil Warnock has claimed that Tottenham trio Harry Kane, Heung-Min Son and Lucas Moura would ”absolutely fly’ if they played for Liverpool, as he told talkSPORT.

The former Premier League manager thinks Spurs have the forward to do the business, but they struggle at the back.

When Spurs returned from their COVID outbreak, they recorded a 2-2 draw against Liverpool, and in truth, they probably deserved to win the match.

From then on, the positive performances kept flowing for Antonio Conte’s side, including an epic comeback against Leicester, but it has gone downhill for a number of weeks now.

Spurs have lost three Premier League games on the bounce, including 2-0 to their Champions League-chasing rivals Wolves over the weekend.

Warnock highlighted Tottenham’s problems but praised their front three, who he thinks would do wonders for Jurgen Klopp’s side.

“I don’t think you can keep changing and blaming the manager,” said Warnock. “The forwards that they have got, they would play in any country and do well.

“If you have the front three playing at Liverpool. They would be absolutely flying. But they have never sorted their defence out.

“I thought my lads at Middlesbrough were better than them at the back. They have never changed.”

The problem facing Spurs is that they need players to step up from outside of the likes of Son and Kane.

For far too long, the north London club have waited for the duo to put on the tunes, so they can dance.

Without them, an already-fragile Spurs defence would look even weaker and they would lose that ruthless nature in front of goal.

Son and Kane haven’t been able to link up as they did under Jose Mourinho, but the high-quality threat is still there.
