Everton are finally set to offload winger Yannick Bolasie, with a move to Middlesbrough set to go through.
Bolasie was a big-money signing from Crystal Palace in the summer of 2016, but a knee injury just months later all but ruined his Everton career.
The 31-year-old has had loan spells at Aston Villa, Anderlecht and Sporting in recent times, but wasn’t registered for Premier League action this term.
Bolasie is finally on the move, joining Middlesbrough on loan for the rest of the season as he prepares to reunite with his ex-Palace boss Neil Warnock.
Warnock has been keen on Bolasie for some time now and finally appears to have landed his man, making a bold comparison in the process.
Warnock has suggested that Bolasie could end up playing as a striker for Middlesbrough, feeling that he can be like West Ham United’s Michail Antonio.
Antonio has been a star since switching from a winger to play as a striker for West Ham, and is now one of the Premier League’s most dangerous attackers.

Warnock comically told The Northern Echo that Bolasie ‘hasn’t got a clue’ and neither does Antonio, but believes their unpredictability makes them more of a threat to opposing defences.
“I think he can do an (Michail) Antonio,” said Warnock. “I’ve always thought, since Crystal Palace, he could do the type of things that Antonio has done at West Ham. He’s quite capable of going up front.”
“He doesn’t know what he’s doing some of the time, he hasn’t got a clue, and Antonio is the same. They’re quite effective because centre-halves don’t know either,” he added.
