Former Premier League defender Neil Ruddock has mocked Arsenal’s slow start to the season, which sees them without a win from their first two games.

Arsenal have one point from a possible six, after losing at home to Liverpool and then drawing away to Leicester this weekend.

Ruddock, who played for Tottenham Hotspur, Liverpool, and West Ham, took a dig at Arsenal’s disappointing start, with a comment on Twitter.

Ruddock retired in 2003, also playing for Southampton, Crystal Palace, Swindon Town, QPR and Millwall.

Arsenal’s start has been emphasised by the success of their rivals, with Manchester United, Chelsea and Manchester City all recording two early wins, opening up a five point gap over Arsene Wenger’s side.

The Gunners have 36 games to overtake the trio, and any other challengers, and will hope to end the season making the jokes, rather than being the butt of them.
