The former Leeds United boss would like another striker signed, regardless of what happens with Chris Wood.
Neil Redfearn has told TV Yorkshire that Leeds United should sign a striker before the transfer window shuts.
Chris Wood has started all three of Leeds’ Championship games this season but the 25-year-old hitman has drawn blanks in his last two – both 0-0 draws at Elland Road – in games which he could and perhaps should have scored in.
Furthermore, the New Zealand international is linked with a move away from Yorkshire this summer, with Burnley linked with a £20 million bid, according to The Daily Star.

It remains to be seen whether the big marksman is going to be plying his trade with Leeds beyond the end of the transfer window, but former Whites boss Redfearn believes that head coach Thomas Christiansen should get in another goalscorer either way.
Asked by TV Yorkshire whether United should bring in another forward: “Well, perhaps yeah. It’s probably something that should’ve happened anyway.
“Give Chris Wood either a partner off the bench or someone to replace him.”
Losing Wood might well be detrimental for Leeds’ hopes of a successful season.
The former Leicester City man bagged himself 30 goals in all competitions last term, including 27 in the Championship, and it’s unlikely that Christiansen and Director of Football Victor Orta will find someone who can fill that sort of void regarding goals.
Leeds visit Sunderland at the Stadium of Light on Saturday, with both sides still unbeaten in England’s second tier.
