Leeds United won against Preston North End at Elland Road in the Championship at the weekend.

Leeds United returned to winning ways in the Championship at the weekend, as they got the better of Preston North End 3-0 at home.
The win at Elland Road last Saturday afternoon followed successive away defeats to Reading and Brentford in the league.
The result against Preston means that Leeds have enhanced their chances of finishing in the top six of the Championship this season.
At this stage of the campaign, it is hard to see Garry Monk’s side suffering a collapse and dropping out of the playoffs.
One of the players who did well for Leeds against Preston last Saturday was Kemar Roofe. The 24-year-old, who can operate as a winger or as striker, started the game and played for 70 minutes.
The former West Bromwich Albion prospect, who joined Leeds from Oxford United in the summer of 2016 for a transfer fee reported by BBC Sport to be worth £3 million, opened the scoring for the Whites in the 18th minute.
“I am pleased for the lad as well,” former Leeds head coach Neil Redfearn told TV Yorkshire about Roofe.
“He always gives you energy and endeavour, and obviously he has had that big price-tag around his neck, £3m, and everybody expected him to score goals, and he got his goal today and it will do him a power of good. I thought his general play was really good, he linked up well.”
Leeds will return to action on Friday evening when they take on Newcastle United away from home at St. James’ Park in the Championship.
