Robert Green joined Leeds United in the summer transfer window.

Neil Redfearn has suggested to The Yorkshire Evening Post that he has been impressed with the performances of Leeds United goalkeeper Robert Green so far this season.

Green joined Leeds in the summer transfer window after leaving Championship rivals Queens Park Rangers at the end of the 2015-16 season.

The 36-year-old has established himself as the first-choice goalkeeper at the Whites and has been playing well this season.

Former Leeds head coach Redfearn has praised the ex-Norwich City and West Ham United custodian.

“And I think as well it’s helped Rob Green in goal,” Redfearn told The Yorkshire Evening Post. “He looks steady now, his bread and butter stuff is good, crossing, kicking and all that, and when you need him he has made two or three outstanding saves.”

Green is a good goalkeeper and has a lot of experience, and the 36-year-old has certainly proved to be a good addition for Leeds.

The Whites are going strong in the Championship at the moment and are in the running for the playoffs.

The West Yorkshire outfit are currently sixth in the standings with 26 points from 16 matches.

Leeds will take on Newcastle United at Elland Road in the Championship after the international break.

Newcastle, who got relegated from the Premier League at the end of last season, are currently at the top of the table.
