Leeds United are on a terrible run of form and will be hoping to turn things around this weekend.

Former Leeds United manager Neil Redfearn has been speaking to Radio Yorkshire ahead of their clash with Middlesbrough on Sunday, and among the topics up for discussion was the club’s passionate support base.
Leeds’ poor run of form has seen them drop out of the play-off places and it is not going to be easy getting three points on the board against a high-flying Boro side led by their former manager Garry Monk.

But Redfearn believes Leeds should be using their 12th man far more than they currently are, with a more exciting style of play vital to ensure the fans get on board from the outset.
“There is no point in getting 30,000 people in there and wasting them,” Redfearn told Radio Yorkshire.
“Get them up for the game, make them boisterous, and get them into the game and offer something. When I was in charge I always tried to take advantage of the home crowd and what it does; it intimidates the opposition.”

Few clubs in the second tier can boast such a large and passionate support and Leeds need to ensure they use it to their advantage going forward.
Whites manager Thomas Christiansen is under pressure to get things right on the field and he needs to make the right team selections when his players return from the latest international break.
The alternative will see more struggles, with Leeds potentially kissing goodbye to their promotion hopes this side of 2018 in the process.
