Former Leeds United boss says the timing is perfect.
Former Leeds United boss Neil Redfearn has told TV Yorkshire that he welcomes the new investment into the club by Italian businessman Andrea Radrizzani.
Leeds confirmed via their official website that Radrizzani has bought 50 per cent of Massimo Cellino’s stake, and has given his full support to current head coach Garry Monk.

Redfearn is excited about the development and feels the timing is ideal for Leeds, who currently sit in the Championship play-off spots.
Speaking to TV Yorkshire, Redfearn said: “Any investment has got to be positive for the club, obviously the timing is critical. Leeds could go and make it a really important season, its come at a good time.”
Asked for his thoughts on the current Leeds team, Redfearn added: “You want your squad settled, quite a few players are loans and he’ll [Monk] want them tied up, and to add one or two in other areas.
“They have shown themselves numerous times against really good sides. I haven’t seen many as good as Leeds, there’s really good signs.”

Two years ago Redfearn was in charge, and would dearly have loved to have had money to spend to back his own ambitions in the transfer market.
It is unclear how much Radrizzani has to invest this month, which has led to plenty of speculation, but it has to be more than Massimo Cellino has had to offer in past windows, with the former Cagliari owner having to sell players in order to reinvest in the squad.
