Pablo Hernandez played well for Marcelo Bielsa’s Leeds United against Sheffield Wednesday at Elland Road.

Neil Redfearn has praised Leeds United star Pablo Hernandez on BBC Radio Leeds for his performance against Sheffield Wednesday.

The former Leeds head coach has said he would pay to watch Hernandez – who can operate as an attacking midfielder or as a winger – play.

The 34-year-old started the Championship match at Elland Road and played for the entire 90 minutes, as Marcelo Bielsa’s side won 1-0.

The Spaniard was brilliant as usual and also provided the assist for Manchester City-owned Jack Harrison’s goal.

Hernandez took three shots, had a pass accuracy of 61.7%, won one header, made two tackles, and played five key passes, according to WhoScored.

So far this season, the former Valencia and Swansea City star has made 33 starts and two substitute appearances in the Championship for Leeds so far this season, scoring 12 goals and providing 12 assets in the process, according to WhoScored.

Leeds are now second in the Championship table and have a great chance of winning automatic promotion to the Premier League at the end of the season.

Former Leeds head coach Bielsa has spoken highly of Hernandez, and said on BBC Radio Leeds: “I would pay good money to watch people like Pablo Hernandez. Such a quality player.”
