Kemar Roofe starred for Leeds United against Oxford United in the EFL Cup on Tuesday evening.

Neil Redfearn has told Radio Yorkshire that he was pleased for Leeds United attacker Kemar Roofe.
Roofe was the star of the show for Leeds on Tuesday evening, as the Championship club hammered Newport County in the second round of the EFL Cup.
The 24-year-old, who can operate as a striker or as a winger, scored a hat-trick to guide the Whites to a 5-1 victory over Newport at Elland Road.

The former West Bromwich Albion prospect joined Leeds from Oxford United in the summer of 2016 for a transfer fee reported by BBC Sport to be worth £3 million.
Former Leeds head coach Redfearn has said that he was pleased for Roofe, and has stated that the attacker gives his all during matches.
“I am pleased for Kemar Roofe because he is one of them that gives 110% every week,” Redfearn told Radio Yorkshire. “He has played out of position a lot of the times, particularly last season.”

Roofe started 28 times and made 14 substitute appearances for Leeds in the Championship last season, scoring three goals and providing seven assists in the process.
The 24-year-old attacker has made two starts and two substitute appearances for the Whites in the league so far this campaign.
