Stuart Dallas signed a new contract with Leeds United earlier this week.
Dallas signed a new three-year contract at Leeds earlier this week which will see him remain at Elland Road until the end of the 2019-20 season.
Prior to committing his future to the Whites, the Northern Ireland international winger was linked with a move away from the Whites.
According to The Yorkshire Evening Post, Norwich City were interested in signing the 26-year-old winger from Championship rivals Leeds in the summer transfer window.
Former Leeds head coach Redfearn has praised the club’s decision to hand Dallas, who can also operate as an attacking midfielder, a new deal.
“I am a big Stuart Dallas fan,” Redfearn told Radio Yorkshire. “I like him.
“I know he perhaps has had his ups and downs at times at Leeds, but I think in the position that he plays, I think he knows his craft, he understands the position, he is vastly experienced at international level as well, and I think for Leeds to do that, I think it’s shrewd business.”
Dallas has been on the books of Leeds since the summer of 2015 when he joined from Championship rivals Brentford for a transfer fee reported by Sky Sports to be worth £1.3 million.
The Northern Ireland international scored five goals and provided six assists in 38 Championship appearances for Leeds during the 2015-16 campaign.
Last season, the winger scored two goals and provided three assists in 20 league starts for the Whites.
