Neil Redfearn says that he has been assured by Leeds United owner Massimo Cellino that he will be the club’s new manager.
Leeds United caretaker-manager Neil Redfearn has revealed his recent discussions with club owner Massimo Cellino about his long-term future at the club.
The Englishman has been put in charge of the first team following the dismissal of Darko Milanic on Saturday. Redfearn has yet to sign a contract with Leeds, but he has revealed that he is close to doing so.
During a press conference on Thursday, the 49-year-old confirmed that he has been assured by Cellino that he will be given the job on a full-time basis.
Redfearn, who has been in charge of the Leeds academy since 2009 and has been the caretaker-manager on a number of occasions since, has also given an insight into his relationship with the Italian entrepreneur.
It seems that Redfearn has been given assurances over his long-term future by Cellino, but would the Italian not pull the trigger if results do not improve?
Let’s wait and watch.
