Former Leeds boss says Charlie Taylor must earn his place back.

After two and a half months out of action, Charlie Taylor returned to training for Leeds United this week.
Head coach Garry Monk confirmed yesterday at his press conference that he would be under consideration for selection for the team’s clash with Birmingham City on Friday evening.
Leeds though are in a luxurious position due to Gaetano Berardi’s form deputising at left-back.
Former boss Neil Redfearn has told Radio Yorkshire that Taylor should not expect to walk back into Leeds’ starting XI.
He said: “I think they are both great players, but what Berardi has done, he’s come in and played out of his skin, he’s done fantastic.
“The answer for this moment in time now, is that Charlie has got to fight for his place.”
Berardi helped Leeds keep a clean sheet in their vital victory at home to Sheffield Wednesday at the weekend and there is no reason for them to suddenly disrupt this.
Taylor still has to prove his fitness in a game situation, with Redfearn pointing out that his Achilles injury could hamper him upon his return.
The left-back will surely be needed during the run in and the play-offs, but there is clearly no reason for Leeds to rush him for an already very winnable fixture against Birmingham.
