Chris Wood scored again for Leeds United on Saturday.
Neil Redfearn has told TV Yorkshire that Leeds United’s Chris Wood is certainly the real deal after adding to his haul yet again on Saturday.
Leeds edged out Norwich City 3-2 in a pulsating encounter which propelled the Whites into the top six, with Ronaldo Vieira netting a last-minute winner for the visitors.
Wood had fired United 2-1 ahead on 74 minutes, after Pontus Jansson cancelled out Robbie Brady’s first-half opener at Carrow Road, but Kyle Lafferty equalised on 88 minutes.

It was the 24-year-old’s 11th goal of the season for Leeds – an excellent return given that he was being jeered by sections of the United fans earlier in the campaign.
But the New Zealand striker is certainly one of the first names on Garry Monk’s team sheets nowadays, reflecting his importance, and Redfearn has praised the big hitman.
He told TV Yorkshire: “Chris Wood is turning into the centre-forward that everybody knew he was. Eleven goals for the season which is a fantastic achievement. But his all-round general play; his hold-up play, his strength, his awareness. He is the real deal.”

Wood is certainly the real deal, but are Leeds as a whole? It is growing increasingly harder to doubt them. Monk’s side sit sixth in the Championship now, despite winning one of their first six league games, and they seem to be getting better and better.
Is promotion on the cards? Who knows, but what we do know is that things are good as they’ve been at the club for many years, and with belief, anything is possible.
