Leeds United lost 1-0 to Reading but their goalkeeper was solid.

Neil Redfearn has told Radio Yorkshire that Leeds United boss Thomas Christiansen made the right call in replacing goalkeeper Felix Wiedwald with Andy Lonergan.
Leeds lost 1-0 to Reading on Saturday for a third straight Championship defeat but the performance of Lonergan was a big positive in an otherwise shoddy showing.
The former Wolves man came in for the under-fire Wiedwald following a tough last few weeks for the £500,000 summer signing from Werder Bremen.

And Lonergan justified his selection with a host of fine saves to keep the scoreline at 0-0, though he could do little about Modou Barrow’s 84th-minute winner.
Nevertheless, Redfearn says that the Bosman signing was arguably the Whites’ best player on the day.

He told Radio Yorkshire: “No absolutely [he had a good game] and he [Christiansen] was vindicated in his decision to be fair.
“I thought Lonergan was probably Leeds’ best player, made three outstanding saves to keep the score at 0-0 and he was unlucky to be on the losing side.”
Samu Saiz was probably Leeds’ best outfield player but the fact that there is so little candidates is indicative of their problems at the moment.
