Jay-Roy Grot played for Leeds United against Cardiff City at the Cardiff City Stadium in the Championship on Tuesday evening.

Leeds United signed a number of players in the summer transfer window, and among them was Jay-Roy Grot.
The 19-year-old striker joined Leeds from Dutch Jupiler League side NEC Nijmegen on a four-year contract.
The youngster can also operate as a winger and arrived at Elland Road with a strong reputation.
According to The Yorkshire Evening Post, Leeds had to pay NEC an initial transfer fee of £750,000 in order to secure the services of the Netherlands Under-19 international attacker.

Grot played for Leeds in the Championship on Tuesday evening, when he came on as a substitute in the 62nd minute against Cardiff City away from home at the Cardiff City Stadium.
Former Leeds head coach Neil Redfearn was not too impressed with the performance of the talented and promising youngster, and has suggested current Whites’ manager Thomas Christiansen how he should play Grot.

“Raw is the word I would use,” Redfearn is quoted as saying by Inside Futbol about Grot. “Very athletic, very physical, got frustrated when he came on.
“I am not sure the lone striking role suits him. He’s maybe better coming from a deeper position. He’s better facing the opposition’s goal than having his back to it.”
Leeds will return to action on Sunday afternoon when they take on Sheffield Wednesday away from home at the Hillsborough Stadium in the Championship.
