Former Leeds boss weighs in on club’s new additions.
Former Leeds manager Neil Redfearn
Former Leeds United boss Neil Redfearn was a guest on Radio Yorkshire last night, and was quizzed on the recent additions at the club.
One of the players he praised was new addition Marcus Antonsson, who scored an impressive goal against Fleetwood Town last week.
The Swede is yet to score in the Championship but Redfearn believes he will prove to be a good signing for the Whites.
He said: “Antonsson has impressed me. I like him, he’s intelligent, and he’s got ability to get free.
“If he’s getting chances he’ll score goals.”

Redfearn went onto add that he believes fellow new signing Pablo Hernandez needs more support in central midfield from an experienced player if he is to flourish.
The ex academy boss was also quizzed as to his views on Leeds potentially signing Pontus Jansson, as has been suggested by the Yorkshire Evening Post among others.

The Torino defender is tipped to join on a loan deal, after falling down the pecking order at the Serie A side.
Redfearn said: “If he’s an internationa, he’s played highest level for his country. You’d like to think he’d come more games than 16 (last season), but he has the credentials, is playing a good standard of football, the chances are he’s going to be a good player.”
Leeds have conceded in all four of their competitive games this season and reinforcements in defence are needed. Jansson is likely to be the only centre-back they sign, and the Whites will need him to hit the ground running.
