Leeds United can move four points off the top two tomorrow.

Neil Redfearn has told TV Yorkshire that he expects Leeds United to avoid defeat in Friday night’s visit to Brighton & Hove Albion.

Leeds travel to The Amex tomorrow evening in the knowledge that a victory would take them within four points of the automatic promotion spots.

Garry Monk’s side, who moved fourth in the Championship with a win over Aston Villa last time around, are bang in form at the moment and few would doubt that they cannot beat the Seagulls.

That being said, Chris Hughton’s side are unbeaten in 13 league matches – nine of those have been victories – and they will be looking to leapfrog Newcastle United by beating Leeds to move top of the Championship.

It could be argued that it is the Whites’ toughest match of the season so far, based on the fact the Newcastle game was at home, but Redfearn is confident that United can return to Yorkshire with a result tomorrow night.

He told TV Yorkshire when asked if they can get a result: “Yeah, I think they can. They’re playing well enough at the moment.

“What they do have is real quality and pace on the break. We saw that against Villa. Leeds can get up the pitch really quickly and score goals.”
