Leeds United will face Reading at Elland Road in the Championship this weekend.

Leeds will take on Reading at Elland Road in the Championship on Saturday afternoon.
Wiedwald started the 2017-18 campaign strongly following his move from Werder Bremen in the summer transfer window.
However, the former Germany Under-20 international goalkeeper has made mistakes for the Whites in recent matches
Many Leeds fans are losing patience with Wiedwald, and there have been calls for Leeds head coach Christiansen to drop the German, as reported by HITC Sport.
Former Leeds head coach Redfearn, though, has said that the former Eintracht Frankfurt goalkeeper should remain part of the team against Reading and has explained why.

“To be fair, Leeds have had a good start to the season,” Inside Futbol quotes Redfearn as saying.
“Yes, they’ve had a blip with three aways games, but by and large they’ve had a really good start to the season and Wiedwald has been part of that.
“I know we’ve said he’s had little to do, but he’s still been part of that. It would be pretty churlish to leave him out at this point.”

Wiedwald is a good goalkeeper, and it is important that Leeds head coach Christiansen retains faith in him.
The German joined Leeds only in the summer, and like outfield players, he needs time to understand the Championship and get used to the style of football.
