The Spaniard scored v Bristol City last night.
Pablo Hernandez celebrates scoring the second goal for Leeds United
Leeds United got back to winning ways in the Championship yesterday as they beat Bristol City 2-1 at Elland Road.
Unsurprisingly, Chris Wood scored for Leeds, with the other goal coming from Spaniard Pablo Hernandez.
The summer signing from Al Arabi has proved to be a fan favourite at Leeds already with his mercurial playing style and enigmatic flair.
His goal yesterday was his fourth for the club and the 31-year-old does need to start hitting the back of the net more regularly.
That is, at least, the belief of former Leeds United manager Neil Redfearn. He told Radio Yorkshire yesterday:
“His general play is without question. He’s got such quality.
“But it’s important whoever plays that 10 role comes up with some goals. You cannot have all the weight and pressure on Chris Wood to score the goals all the time.
“It was nice for him to get his goal tonight because I thought he deserved it.”

Hernandez could certainly help out with the scoring at Leeds. If he could find his way to double figures by the end of the season then there is no doubt that Leeds are likely to find themselves in the promotion shake-up.
But considering the fact Wood is scoring seemingly at will the Spaniard must be doing something right behind him.
Goals have never been Hernandez’s game, his best ever season return being eight with Valencia in 2009-10.
Hopefully he can bag more than that at Leeds this term.
