Jurgen Klopp made 11 changes to his line-up for the cup clash with Spurs on Tuesday night.

Former Liverpool striker Neil Mellor has tweeted his thoughts on the second-string line-up put out by Jurgen Klopp for tonight’s EFL Cup clash with Tottenham Hotspur.
Klopp made 11 changes to his starting XI for the clash with Spurs at Anfield on Tuesday night, putting out a youthful side.
The German boss has handed a senior debut to teenager Trent Alexander-Arnold and a maiden first-team start to fellow youngster Ovie Ejaria.

Keving Stewart and Marko Grujic were also given the nod in a side which does boast first-team experience in the form of Simon Mignolet, Lucas, Ragnar Klavan, Alberto Moreno, Gini Wijnaldum, Divock Origi and Daniel Sturridge.
Before the teams were announced, ex-Reds striker Mellor admitted that he was expecting “quite a few changes”.
It turned out to be a completely different XI, and Mellow hailed Klopp’s decision to hand first starts to Alexander-Arnold and Ejaria.
He also admitted his excitement at seeing Grujic handed a chance to shine and predicted that the Serbian could thrive against a much-changed Spurs side.
Liverpool are bidding to reach the quarter-finals of the EFL Cup for the third year in a row after reaching the final last season.
