Andy Lonergan will be part of the Liverpool squad for their USA tour.

Neil Mellor has taken to Twitter to give his reaction to Andy Lonergan joining the Liverpool squad.
As announced on Liverpool’s official website, Lonergan will travel with Jurgen Klopp’s squad for their pre-season tour of the USA.
Liverpool’s first-choice goalkeeper Alisson Becker has yet to report back for pre-season training due to his involvement in the Copa America with Brazil, while youngsters Caoimhin Kelleher and Vitezslav Jaros are injured.
Lonergan is a free agent at the moment, with the 35-year-old former Leeds United and Wolverhampton Wanderers goalkeeper having left Middlesbrough in the Championship at the end of last season.
The goalkeeper is in his mid-30s, and Liverpool are taking him only for the USA tour, and it is not clear if he will be offered a contract when the Merseyside outfit return to England.

Former Liverpool striker Mellor played with Lonergan at Preston North End, and he believes that the veteran goalkeeper will be a good addition to the Reds’ squad for their pre-season tour of the USA.
