Ibrox side Glasgow Rangers comfortably beat Celtic in today’s Old Firm.
Neil McCann has lavished praise on his former signing Glen Kamara for his role in Rangers’ second goal against Celtic at Ibrox this afternoon.
Rangers beat their Old Firm rivals 2-0 to take some of the gloss off the Hoops’ eighth Scottish Premiership title.
Scott Arfield added a second for the Gers after the break following James Tavernier’s opener.
Kamara played a big role in Arfield’s second, fooling Celtic captain Scott Brown before teeing up Jermain Defoe who set up the Scottish midfielder to slot home.
McCann signed Kamara for Dundee once upon a time, and the 44-year-old manager, speaking to BBC Sport Scotland, has praised his old boy for his performance.
“So many good things to talk about for this goal,” he told BBC Sport Scotland.
“Kamara – and I’ve watched him do this since he signed for Dundee – just absolutely sells Brown a dummy with a change in direction and then there’s a little slide ball in to Defoe.
“And Arfield is just so alive up front and he times it perfectly. That is a brilliant goal.”
It was a stunning display from the light Blues overall and one that serves as a big reminder of how good they could be next season under Steven Gerrard, especially if Kamara continues to improve.
