Brendan Rodgers’s Celtic signed Jack Hendry from Dundee on January transfer deadline day.

Celtic signed Hendry from Scottish Premiership rivals Dundee for a fee reported by BBC Sport to be worth more than £1.2 million on the final day of the January transfer window.

“I was never ignorant to the fact that, if you are doing well and players are playing well, then big clubs come calling,” McCann told The Scottish Sun.
“They did. The disappointing thing for me was how late in the day Celtic left it to decide to get their business done. It left me with no time whatsoever to get any business done myself.”

Fair criticism of Celtic?
McCann’s criticism of Celtic makes sense from Dundee’s point of view, as indeed it was too late for the club who are struggling for survival in the Scottish Premiership to sign a replacement.
However, the Bhoys were right to put in a bid when they wished to – as they did – and it was up to Dundee to decide whether to accept or turn it down.
The 22-year-old central defender was a key player for Dundee, and the Scottish youngster will hope to establish himself in the Hoops’ first team in the coming weeks.
Celtic are at the top of the Scottish Premiership table at the moment, while Dundee currently find themselves ninth in the standings.
