Graeme Murty’s Rangers want to bring Jack Hendry to Ibrox, and Brendan Rodgers’s Celtic want him as well, according to reports.

Graeme Murty’s Rangers and Brendan Rodgers’s Celtic have been linked with moves for Dundee defender Jack Hendry in the January transfer window.
Rangers are interested in signing Hendry from Scottish Premiership rivals Dundee in January, according to The Sunday Post.
Herald Scotland has reported that Celtic want to secure the services of the 22-year-old centre-back and could loan him back to the Dee.
Dundee manager Neil McCann, though, has stated that Hendry will not be sold in the January transfer window.

“I am not interested in who Jack is linked with,” McCann told The Courier. “I think that due to his performances it is natural there will be interest.
“I think international recognition wouldn’t be too far away for someone who is playing the way Jack is. He is one of a number of players who have been doing really well of late.”
“Jack signed for two years in the summer,” added McCann. “I am not expecting him to go anywhere. I don’t want him to go anywhere.
“I have a team that has too much to do in terms of where I want to take the club. I am not looking for anybody to start disappearing out the door.”

Hendry joined Dundee only in the summer of 2017 after leaving Wigan Athletic at the end of the last season.
The Dee are struggling for survival in the Scottish Premiership at the moment, and one can understand why McCann does not want to sell him the 22-year-old centre-back in the January transfer window.
However, things could change next summer, and if Rangers and Celtic are determined to sign him, then they should keep monitoring him as the season progresses.
