Boli Bolingoli-Mbombo was in action for Neil Lennon’s Celtic on Thursday evening.

Bolingoli-Mbombo started for Celtic in their Europa League game against Rennes away from home in France on Thursday evening.
The left-back played for 69 minutes, as the match ended in a 1-1 draw.
Former Rangers winger McCann was following the match, and he was not impressed with the display produced by the 24-year-old left-back.
McCann said on BBC Sport (18:53): “We’ve seen glimpses of what we thought about Boli Bolingoli coming up short a couple of times and mistiming challenges. He’s been rash in terms of his decision-making.”
Encouraging result
Bolingoli-Mbombo has been playing well in recent weeks, but the left-back did not look very comfortable against Rennes.
The defender should have timed his challenges better, and he did look shaky in his position.
However, the final result is very encouraging for Celtic. True, it is only a draw, but it is a draw against Rennes in France.
It is a point gained for Celtic rather than two points lost. The Hoops are back in action on Sunday afternoon when they take on Kilmarnock at Celtic Park in the Scottish Premiership.
