Lennon managed Celtic between 2010 and 2014 after seven years there as a player.

Neil Lennon would be one of the names on Celtic’s list should Brendan Rodgers leave Parkhead, according to Paul Kane.
Lennon, the former Celtic captain, led the Bhoys to the Scottish Premiership title in three of his four seasons as manager.
After a difficult spell at Bolton Wanderers afterwards, the Ulsterman is back in Scotland with Hibernian – whom he has led out of the Championship to fourth in the top flight in less than two years.
However, Kane, the former Hibs midfielder, does not believe the Edinburgh side would stand in Lennon’s way were he to fancy a return to Celtic, whose current boss Rodgers was recently linked with a move to Arsenal.

“I think Brendan is letting Arsenal know that he is available in the proper kind of way,” the 52-year-old told the Herald. “I think Neil would be one of the names [on the list to succeed him] but that situation will only happen if Brendan goes. I think there is a strong bond there between [Lennon] and the [Hibernian] supporters, Neil and Leeann Dempster [Hibernian’s chief executive].
“Listen, if he does really, really well for Hibs and there is a situation that comes along that was a no-brainer, that he sees as a dream come true, I don’t think anyone would stand in his way.”

Like Lennon, Rodgers has rebuilt his reputation in Scottish football, where he has won four trophies in less than two seasons at Celtic.
Another Ulsterman, the former Swansea City manager was sacked by Liverpool in October 2015 – less than 18 months after he almost delivered their first top flight title since 1990.
