Celtic manager Neil Lennon has told The Scottish Sun that Tom Rogic will be fit for the Old Firm derby against Steven Gerrard’s Ibrox club Glasgow Rangers.

Rangers will take on Celtic away from home at Celtic Park in The Scottish Premiership on March 31.

Rogic has not played for Celtic since Boxing Day, and has been on the sidelines with a hand injury since his return from international duty with Australia at the Asian Cup.

Celtic boss Lennon, appointed in the role until the end of the season following the departure of Brendan Rodgers to Premier League club Leicester City, has said that the 26-year-old Australia international will be fit for the match against Rangers.

The former Hibernian boss has also suggested that 23-year-old French midfielder Olivier Ntcham will be available for the Old Firm derby against the Gers.

Lennon told The Scottish Sun: “Tom should be fit for the Rangers game. Olivier is also back doing a bit of running and we hope to have him doing a bit of training next week.”

Tough for Rangers

Rangers are already eight points behind Celtic in second place in the Scottish Premiership table at the moment.

If Rogic and Ntcham are fit for the Old Firm derby later this month, then it is only going to make it tough for Gerrard’s team to win it and maintain their challenge for the league title.
