Celtic manager Neil Lennon has told The Daily Record that the club plan to make further signings in the summer transfer window.

Lennon has stated that the Glasgow giants plan to add one or two more players to the squad before the next round of Champions League qualifiers.

Lennon told The Daily Record: “We can still buy players from England. You might get good deals coming out of there, or abroad, now. We are in a healthy position. I like the squad but we are always looking to strengthen.

“We are playing well just now, there is momentum and we look fit. But if there is quality available, we will look to strengthen and give the place a lift.

“Ideally, we will have one or two in before the next European round. I keep saying that but you need to be patient. Ideally, yes. But there are no guarantees.”

Summer signings

Celtic have been quite busy in the summer transfer window and have made a number of signings already.

Christopher Jullien, Luca Connell, Boli Bolingoli-Mbombo, Hatem Abd Elhamed, Tobi Oluwayemi, Leo Hjelde and Liam Burt are the players who have been signed.

Exciting update

Celtic, though, could still do with a couple of more players in the summer transfer window.

The Glasgow giants could do with another striker, and the departure of Kieran Tierney means that the Hoops could have need for another left-back.

Back in action

Celtic will return to action this afternoon when they take on Motherwell away from home in the Scottish Premiership.

The Bhoys hammered St. Johnstone 7-0 at Celtic Park in the Scottish Premiership last weekend.
