Marvin Compper has struggled to make an impact at Celtic.

According to The Scottish Sun, Compper has made just one appearance for Celtic since joining the Hoops from RB Leipzig in January 2018 when Brendan Rodgers – now the manager of Leicester City – was in charge of the Glasgow giants.
The 33-year-old central defender suggested to The Daily Record in November 2018 that he wanted to leave Celtic in the January transfer window, but he is still at Celtic.
Lennon, who was recently appointed as the Celtic manager until the end of the season, has suggested that the German centre-back could feature for the Hoops this season, and has also praised him attitude.
Lennon told The Scottish Sun when asked about the chances of Compper playing for Celtic this season: “He could, yeah. He played a development game on Tuesday and I went to see it. His attitude was excellent.”
“He’s training with the first-team squad and he’s keeping himself ticking over with match fitness with the development team,” added Lennon. ”If called upon he’ll be ready, fitness-wise anyway.”

Encouraging
It is encouraging that Compper is showing a positive attitude, and perhaps the defender will play a role in Celtic’s quest to win the Scottish Premiership title this season.
Celtic have had injury problems this season, and Compper’s appearances could help in that regard.
