Daniel Arzani has become something of a forgotten man at Celtic.

Celtic boss Neil Lennon has told The Scottish Sun that winger Daniel Arzani is ‘nearly fit’ after almost a year out of action.
The Bhoys swooped to sign Arzani in the summer of 2018, as Brendan Rodgers took him on loan from Manchester City just eight days after he joined the Premier League giants.
Arzani had impressed with City’s sister club Melbourne City in Australia, and even played for Australia at the 2018 World Cup at the age of just 19.
The winger, who can also play as an attacking midfielder, was seen as an exciting addition given his potential, but he ended up enduring a miserable year in Glasgow.
Arzani played just once for Celtic, coming on as a 57th minute substitute in a 5-0 win over Dundee last October, but was taken off 23 minutes later with a torn anterior cruciate ligament.
He hasn’t played again since, and he’s almost become a forgotten man at Parkhead, but given that he signed a two-year loan deal, he still has time to make an impact.

Now, Lennon has admitted that Arzani is ‘nearly fit’, and will be given time in a friendly to pick up his fitness ahead of coming into the Celtic squad.
“Daniel’s nearly fit,” said Lennon. “He will get 40 minutes in that and needs match fitness before coming into the squad,” he added.
Lennon may finally be able to pick Arzani for the first time soon, but with James Forrest, Mikey Johnston. Mohamed Elyounoussi, Lewis Morgan, Scott Sinclair, Jonny Hayes and Maryan Shved all fighting for spots out wide, meaning he faces a battle to get into the Celtic side.
