The Rangers boss has made a fine start to life in the Scottish Premiership.

Hibernian boss Neil Lennon spoke to reporters yesterday, ahead of his side’s clash with Rangers at Easter Road tonight, and admitted that he was surprised when Steven Gerrard took on the job at Ibrox in the summer, as quoted by the Edinburgh Evening News.
The former Liverpool and England skipper has worked wonders during his time in charge of the Gers, and his side currently sit at the top of the Scottish Premiership table, one point clear of bitter rivals Celtic.
Gerrard has instilled a certain kind of fight and hunger that was evidently missing for the Rangers squad before he was handed the reigns in the summer.
And Lennon praised the 38-year-old Gers boss.
The Hibs manager spoke to reporters yesterday, and admitted that he was surprised to see Gerrard take over at Rangers, as quoted by the Edinburgh Evening News:

“I was surprised he took the job because it was a very difficult first job. He’s a big name himself and it was a gamble but now he’s in there, it looks like he’s been there for a long, long time.”
Rangers would really cement their position at the top of a league with a win away at Hibs tonight, but Gerrard’s men really will have to be at their very best, if they are to have any chance whatsoever of doing just that.
