Neil Lennon’s Celtic drew with Rennes in the Europa League on Thursday.

The Scottish Premiership club played out a 1-1 draw with Rennes away from home in France in the Europa League on Thursday evening.
The Hoops were actually 1-0 down at the half-time interval, but the Glasgow giants found the equaliser in the 59th minute when Ryan Christie scored from the penalty spot.
Celtic manager Lennon has disclosed what he told his players at half time.
Lennon told The Times: “I told the players at half-time on Thursday: ‘You’re playing well but are you going to play well and lose or are we going to change this mentality?’
“Because, for me, it’s unacceptable to have played well but still be getting on that plane with a defeat.”

Encouraging performance from Celtic
Rennes are a good team, and picking up a point in France has to be considered a very encouraging result for Celtic.
The draw has enhanced the Hoops’ chances of progressing to the knockout stage of the Europa League.
Celtic need to win all of their home matches in the group to stand a realistic chance of progressing to the knockout round.
The Bhoys are back in action on Sunday afternoon when they take on Kilmarnock at Celtic Park in the Scottish Premiership.
