Lennon has suggested that although he would love Fraser Forster to return to Celtic, he cannot wait forever for the Southampton goalkeeper.
The Celtic boss has also said that he wanted Craig Gordon to stay, but the goalkeeper wanted to play regular first-team football, which is why he left the Hoops earlier this summer.
Lennon told The Scottish Sun when asked if negotiations were over: “From what I gather, yeah. There’s no more movement on it at the minute. We can’t keep leaving the door open.
“We have to make decisions. If it was to reverse tomorrow we’d go yeah, on you come, but we’re not getting any indication of that happening.
“We’re talking to representatives of a couple of goalkeepers so hopefully we’ll have good news sooner rather than later on that.”
The Celtic boss added about Gordon: “Craig made a decision. It wasn’t because of finances, he wanted to play more football and that was something we couldn’t guarantee him here.
“We still wanted to have him around because he was a great professional but the reason we made that decision was for his benefit.”

Need for a goalkeeper
Scott Bain is the only senior goalkeeper in the Celtic squad at the moment, and there is no doubt that the Hoops need to sign at least one new player for that position.
Although Bain is a good goalkeeper, he needs to be pushed and must have competition to play well week in and week out.
With the new Scottish Premiership season to start next month, Lennon needs to bring in at least one new goalkeeper before then.
Celtic will be aiming to make it 10 Scottish Premiership titles in a row next season and will face stiff competition from Old Firm rivals Rangers.
