Neil Lennon has no doubts that Kieran Tierney would complete a medical if Celtic accept a bid.

Celtic boss Neil Lennon has told the Daily Record that he would expect Kieran Tierney to pass a medical if the club end up agreeing to sell him.

The Bhoys have seen Tierney become a star over the last four years, rising from academy starlet to a key part of the treble treble winning side.

Tierney, 22, has also picked up 12 caps for Scotland, but his emergence alongside fellow star left back Andrew Robertson has given Scotland problems.

Unsurprisingly, Tierney’s performances in Scotland have attracted major interest, and it’s Arsenal currently fighting hard for his signature.

BBC Sport report that Arsenal have raised their bid to £25million, which is what Celtic are looking for, but the structure of payments is the big problem.

Arsenal may well return with a new offer with more money up front, as Celtic are refusing to do business with the Gunners as things stand.

One interesting factor is that Tierney is currently out injured as he recovers from hernia surgery, leading some to wonder whether he would even pass a medical.

However, Lennon believes that Tierney would have no issues as he is back out on the grass, meaning he would pass a key part of a move – if an acceptable bid arrives.

“I would,” said Lennon. “He is back out on the grass now, which is a good sign. He is doing his rehab with the physios,” he added.
