Rangers fans have been happy to see Neil Lennon stay at Celtic.

Rangers fans have been mocking Celtic’s decision to appoint boss Neil Lennon permanently – and he’s now hit back at the Ibrox faithful.
Celtic clinched the Scottish Cup last weekend, beating Hearts 2-1 to secure a third straight domestic treble, continuing their domination of Scottish football.
Straight after the final whistle, Celtic confirmed that Lennon has been appointed as their new permanent manager, having been working as their interim boss since Brendan Rodgers’ exit in February.
Lennon has kept Celtic moving, winning the Scottish Premiership title and the Scottish Cup, so handing him the job permanently makes sense from that perspective at least.
However, the decision has been mocked by Rangers fans, with many celebrating the move. Even Rangers TV tweeted out a celebration clip of Scott Arfield just after the announcement.
Rangers fans feel that Celtic haven’t been as impressive under Lennon, and the recent 2-0 win over the Bhoys at Ibrox was a major blot on Lennon’s copy book.
Now, Lennon has responded to those Rangers fans, telling the Daily Record that they’ve been wrong before, many times in fact, and hopes they’ll be wrong again by celebrating his appointment.

Lennon put the pressure on the Gers by suggesting it’s on them to stop Celtic and recruit well, simply stating that he’s looking to continue Rodgers’ fine work at Parkhead.
“They’ve been wrong before. On numerous occasions,” said Lennon. “So hopefully they’ll be wrong again. Brendan did the Invincible, then they won another treble and they were told they weren’t as good as the previous year. Now they’ve gone and won another treble. He set a huge benchmark which I want to follow.
“Rangers have got to try and stop us doing nine or ten, that’s their job, but I can’t comment on what Rangers are going to do or who they are going to recruit. We are going try and recruit the best players we can and give the squad a lift because it needs a lift. And give the players who have been at it for three seasons now the jag of quality in there that they need,” he added.
