Celtic beat St Mirren 2-0 at Parkhead on Wednesday night.
Celtic boss Neil Lennon has told the club’s official Twitter account that he thought Greg Taylor’s debut for the club was ‘solid’ having started against St Mirren.
The Bhoys were superb in their 4-0 win over Aberdeen on Sunday, but were frustrated in the first half last night at St Mirren held them to a goalless half.
However, Mohamed Elyounoussi put Celtic in front shortly after the break, and James Forrest added a second to hand Lennon a comfortable 2-0 win in the end.
Lennon was able to rotate some of his side, with Moritz Bauer coming into the side at right back and left back Taylor handed a first start.
Celtic signed the 21-year-old from Kilmarnock on transfer deadline day last month, but he hadn’t even kicked a ball for the Bhoys until last night.
With Boli Bolingoli nailing down the left back spot and Jonny Hayes being used as cover on the bench thanks to his additional versatility, Taylor has had to be patient.
He got his chance last night though, and Lennon was seemingly impressed, calling his display ‘solid’, getting exactly what he expected from the Scot whilst suggesting that he can be ‘delighted’ with his performance.
