Hibernian will face Celtic at Celtic Park in the Scottish Premiership this afternoon.
Hibernian manager Neil Lennon has spoken highly of Celtic striker Leigh Griffiths to The Scotsman.
Griffiths has been on the books of Celtic since January 2014 when he joined from Wolverhampton Wanderers in England.
Lennon was in charge of Celtic at the time, and the Hibs boss has spoken highly of the Scotland international striker.
The 27-year-old former Livingston and Dundee striker is a proven goalscorer who has found the net regularly in the Scottish league.
During his time at Celtic Park so far, Griffiths has won the league title four times, the Scottish League Cup twice and the Scottish Cup once.
The Scotsman, who had a loan spell at Hibernian from Wolves from 2011 until 2013, is set to feature for Celtic against Hibs at Celtic Park in the Scottish Premiership this afternoon.
Ahead of the match, Lennon has spoken highly of Griffiths, who will be looking to score against his former club this afternoon.
“He’s had a brilliant two-and-a-half, three years,” Lennon told The Scotsman about Griffiths. “What did he get? 40-odd goals in one season? He was terrific again last season when he was called upon.
“Dembele was in great form so he had to bide his time. But it’s not just for Celtic. For Scotland, he’s played really, really well.
“He has taken his game on and he is a goal threat from many, many positions. His movement is good and he has got stronger, he looks like he’s got that wee yard of pace and he’s finding another yard. That all comes with confidence.”
