According to The Sun, Scottish Premiership giants Celtic are competing with Premier League club West Ham United for the signature of Duffy.
The report in the British tabloid has added that the 28-year-old defender will be allowed to leave the Seagulls this summer.
Celtic boss Lennon has said that he has made an enquiry about signing the former Everton man.
Lennon told OTB Sports about Duffy: “We have made tentative enquiries and we’ll see how that goes.”
Good signing for Celtic?
Duffy is a very good central defender who has a wealth of experience, and the Republic of Ireland international will be a good addition to Lennon’s Celtic team.
The Hoops could do with a strong and no-nonsense central defender, and the former Blackburn Rovers man would make the Glasgow giants strong at the back.
Duffy has fallen down the pecking order at Brighton, and a move to Celtic where he would be competing for the Scottish Premiership and also playing in Europe would make sense.
Celtic are aiming to make it 10 Scottish Premiership titles in a row this season.
