Christopher Jullien was Celtic’s hero on Thursday night.

Neil Lennon claims that Celtic’s Christopher Jullien had been getting a bit of abuse from team-mates over his form in front of goal recently.
Celtic beat Lazio 2-1 at Parkhead on Thursday and it was the big centre-back who nodded home a last-minute winner for Lennon’s side, following a brilliant Ryan Christie corner.
It was Jullien’s second goal for the Hoops since joining in a £7 million deal from Toulouse this past summer.
But based on the chances that have come his way from set-pieces, he could and probably should have more than two goals under his belt.
And the Celtic manager reveals to the club’s website that the Frenchman had been getting ‘ribbed’ over missing a few chances this season, prior to his goal.
He said: “It’s all about the delivery really, and if you can hit the right areas, Christopher will go and get on the end of things. He’s got that power and leap, and we’ve seen that already.
“He’s been getting a bit of a ribbing from the boys about the ones that he’s missed, but he came up with a great moment, and it was a perfect ball in from Ryan.”
Jullien is one of Celtic’s most expensive ever signings, but the towering defender is looking value for money – and the good thing is, he’ll only get better.
He had an indifferent start to life in Glasgow, but he has been immense under Lennon for the most part this season and it’s fascinating to see how much better he can get – and how many more goals he can score.
