Celtic’s Kieran Tierney is struggling with an injury right now.

Celtic boss Neil Lennon has told The Scottish Sun that he wants to ‘shut down’ Kieran Tierney for three months in order to help his injury problem.
The Bhoys beat Rangers 2-1 on Sunday afternoon, with James Forrest’s late goal grabbing all three points against 10 men at Parkhead.
Whilst the celebrations continue after another Old Firm victory, boss Lennon is counting the cost of the win after a couple of injury problems.
Contract rebel Dedryck Boyata may be finished as a Celtic player after picking up a hamstring injury, whilst Tierney was substituted for Jeremy Toljan having gone down injured himself.
Tierney has endured an injury-hit spell of late, and overcame a calf problem to start against Rangers, only to then go down with the same problem, which kept him out of Scotland’s recent international games.
The 21-year-old was in training on Tuesday, seemingly putting himself in contention to face St Mirren tonight, but Lennon has admitted his concerns.

Lennon has suggested that he wants to give Tierney three months off and only get him involved in full training in July, feeling that he needs a real break just to do conditioning work.
Lennon added that it’s not an ideal situation right now though, as Celtic need Tierney playing – and noted that he could miss some Scotland games in the coming months as a result of his ongoing issues.
“Ideally, I’d love to shut Kieran down for three months, give him a rest, let him do some conditioning work and stay off the grass,” said Lennon. “But it’s not an ideal situation at the minute. Could he miss the Scotland games? Listen, I can’t make that decision. Tim is our physio, so he will make that call with Alex and his staff,” he added.
