The Celtic boss confirms that Scott Brown will be facing Ibrox side Glasgow Rangers tomorow.
Neil Lennon has confirmed to Celtic’s website that he has no intention of resting Scott Brown against Rangers tomorrow.
Ibrox plays host for what will be the last Old Firm derby of the season.
Celtic have a Scottish Cup final date with Hearts in two weeks, prompting suggestions that Lennon could rest some of his heavy hitters against Rangers.
But the Hoops boss has rubbished the idea that he might keep his skipper in reserve for the trip to Steven Gerrard’s side.
He told the club’s official website: “It’s a big game and he’s a big game player. It’s easy to say that Scott Brown will be playing on Sunday.”
Celtic and Rangers fans will be delighted at this confirmation.
Brown made headlines for the wrong reasons when both sides clashed at Parkhead toward the end of March.
The Gers’ faithful will want the chance to avenge several incidents against the 33-year-old midfielder – a £4.4 million signing in 2007 [The Guardian] – while Celtic supporters will want him out there to lead the team to the win at Ibrox, having lost there back in December.
