Celtic boss Neil Lennon has told The Scottish Sun that he hasn’t even heard of Trabzonspor striker Caleb Ekuban.
Celtic have already added striker Albian Ajeti from West Ham United this summer, joining the likes of Odsonne Edouard, Leigh Griffiths and Patryk Klimala at the club.
However, the Bhoys are still being linked with strikers, and one bizarre rumour emerged on Monday.
Turkish outlet Haber Turk reported that Celtic had offered €8million (£7.2million) for Caleb Ekuban, and Trabzonspor had accepted the offer.
They even claimed that Ekuban would go to Scotland for a medical within the next two or three days ahead of completing his move.
Ekuban, 26, was a flop at Leeds United after joining them in 2017, but has fared better at Trabzonspor with 17 goals in 64 appearances.

Now a Ghanaian international, Ekuban seems to be coming into his own, but those Celtic rumours seem very odd.
Now, Lennon has admitted that this is the first he has even heard of Ekuban, and claims that Celtic have not made a bid for him in a strong denial.
“I can tell you hand on heart that it’s the first time I’ve heard of this player,” said Lennon. “I’m not aware of any bids or contact with the player or the club or his representatives,” he added.
