Celtic manager Neil Lennon has suggested to The Scottish Sun that Paris Saint-Germain-owned striker Timothy Weah does not train well.

Lennon, though, has praised Weah for the impact he makes during matches and has raved about the USA international striker.

Lennon told The Scottish Sun about Weah: “He’s done really well. There is improvement in his game. He’s not the best of trainers, but he does his stuff on the pitch and you get players like that.

“Didier Agathe was rubbish in training and absolutely brilliant on a Saturday. I’m not saying Timo is that bad! But I am very pleased with him.”

Stats

Weah joined Celtic on loan from French giants PSG in the January transfer window until the end of the season.

The 19-year-old striker has made an instant impact at the Glasgow giants and has established himself as an important player for Lennon’s team.

The USA international has made three starts and seven substitute appearances in the Scottish Premiership for Celtic so far this season, scoring three goals in the process, according to WhoScored.

Celtic stay?

Weah’s loan deal at Celtic is until the end of the season, but perhaps the Glasgow giants, PSG and the striker could come to an agreement to extend his spell at Celtic Park until the end of the 2020.

After all, the Hoops could do with a player like the youngster, who is unlikely to get too many chances at PSG next season.
