Steven Gerrard’s Ibrox club Glasgow Rangers and Neil Lennon’s Celtic have been busy in the summer transfer window.

Rangers have been quite busy this summer and have made a number of signings to enhance the quality of their squad for the 2019-20 campaign.
Jordan Jones and Jake Hastie had already signed pre-contract agreements with Rangers, while Steven Davis has put pen to paper on a permanent deal after a loan spell, and Greg Stewart, George Edmundson, Sheyi Ojo and Joe Aribo have also been brought in.
As for Celtic, the Bhoys have secured the services of Christopher Jullien, Luca Connell and Boli Bolingoli-Mbombo so far this summer.
Celtic manager Lennon has given his take on the ‘rivalry’ with Rangers regarding summer signings.
Lennon told The Scottish Sun: “I can’t affect what Rangers do. It’s not one of those situations where if they spend £4m then we want to spend £8m. “It’s not like that.
“We just want to get the right players in if the price is good and we think there’s quality and re-sellable value in them as well. We have to focus on ourselves. You can’t affect what’s going on elsewhere. You can’t do that — and we won’t.
“Are we chasing the same players at times? We might be but that creates its own issues. Sometimes agents play one against another and I don’t want to get involved in any of that nonsense.”

Title race
Celtic have won the Scottish Premiership title for the past eight seasons, and the Hoops will be confident of clinching the championship again in 2019-20.
However, Rangers are building a strong squad, and with Steven Gerrard in charge and having finished second last season, the Gers will be confident of giving their bitter Old Firm rivals Celtic a run for their money.
