Neil Lennon has written in The Times that Arsenal left-back Kieran Tierney is good enough for Manchester City.
Lennon managed Tierney when he was the manager of Celtic.
The Scotland international left-back joined Arsenal from Celtic for £25 million in the summer of 2019.
What’s been said
Lennon wrote in The Times: “When I had him at Celtic, Kieran was really confused about what to do in terms of leaving because the club meant so much to him. Ambition and finances meant he made the right call for his career.
“For me, he’s Arsenal’s best player. I could see him going to Manchester City, he’s got all the tools to play for them. He’s maybe not got the all-rounded left foot that Andy has, that natural whip, but he’s got everything else and he sees things. He’s so athletic and powerful.”

Kieran Tierney is a star
Arsenal fans will argue that Bukayo Saka is the club’s best player at the moment.
You could claim that Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is better than Tierney, even though the striker did not have a good season in 2020-21.
However, no one can question the quality of Tierney.
There will have been doubts when the 24-year-old moved to the Premier League in 2019.
The left-back has proved all his detractors wrongs over the past two seasons.

Tierney is one of the best left-backs in Europe and will be a star for Scotland at the Euro 2020 finals.
Could Tierney play for City?
Of course, he could.
The former Celtic star is brilliant going forward, is defensively sound, is a leader at the back, and works hard for the team.
It is unlikely that Tierney will leave Arsenal this summer, but who knows, what could happen in one or two years’ time.
