Celtic’s interim boss Neil Lennon has told Dafabet that the one current Bhoys ace he’d love to play with is playmaker Tom Rogic.

Lennon returned to the Parkhead dugout in February follow Brendan Rodgers’ abrupt exit to Leicester City, with Lennon handed the reins until the end of the season.

Lennon remains unbeaten in his second stint as Celtic boss, and can all but clinch the Scottish Premiership title with a win over Rangers this weekend.

That would go some way to helping Lennon land the job on a permanent basis, and he may just have playmaker Tom Rogic back for the Old Firm clash.

The Australian ace has been out injured of late, but now appears to be pushing for a role in Sunday’s game, which would be a huge boost given his stunning record against Rangers in the past.

Ahead of that game, Lennon has been asked which Celtic players in years gone by he’d have loved to play with, and named the likes of Danny McGrain, Kenny Dalglish and Paul McStay, but also hailed Rogic.

Lennon picked out Rogic as the one current player he’d love to play with, calling him a ‘very exciting player’ – and that may just show what a huge role he will have under Lennon.

“Currently, I’d love to have played with Rogic,” said Lennon. “[He’s] a very exciting player,” he added.
