Manchester City and Leicester are negotiating, and Celtic could be set to miss out on Patrick Roberts.

Celtic fear Patrick Roberts has played his last game for the club after two and a half years on loan.
Brendan Rodgers would love to sign the winger permanently from Manchester City, but it is going to be tough to pull off.
Manchester City are trying to sign Riyad Mahrez from Leicester for £60 million, and this in theory would free up Roberts for a move.
The problem for Celtic is that The Telegraph report Leicester are going to insist of signing Roberts in part exchange as part of the negotiations.

It would be a sickener for Celtic to lose out on Roberts like this, just as he becomes available.
The winger has made impressive strides at Celtic, but the standard at Manchester City is so high and their intention to sign Mahrez tells it’s own story about their intentions to promote from within.

The Daily Express reported last week that Leicester were keen, and Manchester City’s desire to finally land Mahrez gives the Foxes a leg up in negotiations.
Mahrez was wanted by Manchester City for a late January move but Leicester refused to sell without a replacement.
This early in the transfer window there is plenty of time for the Foxes, and they may even hope that Patrick Roberts can step straight into his shoes.
